How To Make An Appointment

The Health Centre Opening Times are:-

Consultations are by appointment only. Telephone 01786 463831 select option 1 and ask for an appointment with the doctor or nurse. We expect to offer you an appointment within 48 hours, however during term time this may be slightly longer.

If you wish to see a particular doctor you may have to wait longer.
We try our best to keep to our allocated times ? please try to do the same and arrive on time. If you cannot keep your appointment, contact us so that it can be made available for someone else.

ONE APPOINTMENT IS FOR ONE PATIENT ONLY
Please make a separate appointment for each person wishing to see the doctor or nurse.
The doctors would appreciate if all children aged 12 and under are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS

If you wish to speak to a doctor during normal hours, we have telephone consultation appointments that may be booked through reception. These appointments are at 10.30 a.m. and 1.45 pm each day.

URGENT/EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS

If you think your condition needs urgent attention please call the medical centre reception 01786 463831 selection Option 1, please advise the receptionist briefly of your emergency. The receptionist will take your details and a telephone number and will pass this information to the on call GP or trained nurse who will return your call and discuss in more detail your symptoms and arrange an appointment as necessary.
Urgent cases will always be seen promptly but it may not always be possible to see the doctor or your choice.
If you need urgent advice, a doctor is always on call between the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED

Our surgery is closed nights, weekends and on public holidays, if you need the advice of require to see a doctor in an emergency after surgery hours you must telephone NHS24 on 08454 24 24 24.
As our surgery is part of NHS24, out of hours cover is now the responsibility of NHS Tayside. Your call will be taken by an experienced, trained call handler who will determine the help you require. Once your details have been taken the call handler will transfer you to a trained nurse who may give you advice, arrange emergency services, or arrange for you to see a doctor.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are for those who are housebound or unable to attend the surgery as a result of their condition. If at all possible, please come to the surgery rather than requesting a home visit. We can see several patients in the surgery in the time that it takes to do one home visit. If you feel that a home visit is necessary, it would be helpful if you could telephone before 10:00am so that we can plan the visits as efficiently as possible.
